It’s again been a while since my last update. August brought some interesting times, most notably the Reading Festival and the Captain Horizon recording session at Vale Studios.
Recording went extremely well, it was an awesome place to spend a few days, out in the sticks. I managed to get a room all to myself too. The product from the sessions sounds awesome and Josh has been working overtime to get them mixed so we can get the CD out to manufacture!
Reading Festival, been my first festival was an experience. I drove the scooby (yes, I now drive an Impreza!) down to Reading and parked on the outskirts. Managed to see some awesome bands, Billy Talent, Placebo and Lost Prophets were the stand out. I was also one of the lucky ones to see ‘Them Crooked Vultures’, featuring Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones. Sunday night was not fun in my opinion and which the silly behaviour of people made it quite uncomfortable. However, this didn’t take away the fact it had been an awesome (and expensive!) weekend.
September has seen Captain Horizon back on the road, with a busy October to come. Roll on the gigs!
Hopefully I’ll be able to go and see Billy Talent in October at the new academy.
p.s. Can you guess the band on stage?
